A Bag Filter is an air pollution control device used to remove dust and particulate matter from industrial gas streams. It operates by capturing particles on the surface of fabric filter bags, allowing clean air or gas to pass through. Bag filters are widely used in industries such as cement, power plants, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing, and metalworking.
How It Works:
Dust-laden air enters the filter housing, where it passes through fabric filter bags. The particulate matter gets trapped on the surface of the bags, and the clean air exits through the outlet. Periodic cleaning (via shaking, reverse air, or pulse-jet methods) removes the dust buildup from the bags.
